As a traditional synagogue, we observe all of the customs, practices and services of an orthodox shul, but with mixed seating.  We also have a daily mechitza (separate seating) minyan in our Beit Midrash.

LJC is a family congregation, a place to discover religious identification and strengthen cultural heritage; where we celebrate holidays and joyous times and find comfort during times of sorrow.  It is a place to make friends and to learn through our many programs for adults and children. 

Most of all we are a community.  LJC members offer warmth, friendship and support.  Our members are open and welcoming; it does not take long to feel right at home.                                                

 A Traditional Service with Mixed Seating or a Service with a Mechitza–The Option is Yours

Shabbat and holiday services are offered in the Main Sanctuary and in the Beit Midrash.  The Main Sanctuary uses the orthodox siddur while men, women and their families worship sitting together.  The mechitza minyan in the Beit Midrash takes place on Shabbat, holidays and daily during the week.  Also, a  dynamic youth  Shabbat program is now being offered.
